Human First Society exists to verify a single, specific claim — that a real person is still genuinely part of how a business operates. Nothing broader, and nothing for sale.
As more customer interactions moved to bots, scripts, and AI agents, businesses that still kept people in the loop had no real way to show it. A logo that says “we value human connection” is marketing. It isn’t evidence.
We built Human First Society as an independent, third-party way to check that claim the way a standards body checks anything else — by asking for proof, reviewing it against a fixed set of criteria, and publishing the result somewhere anyone can look it up.
We’re not a government agency, and we’re not affiliated with any trade group. We’re funded by application and verification fees alone — nothing is paid for placement, and nothing is paid for a passing score.
Application and renewal fees cover reviewer time. They have no bearing on whether a submission passes — the same panel process applies whether you’re a two-person shop or a national chain.
No stage of review — screening, scoring, or the final decision — is automated. If a business is being verified for keeping humans in the loop, the least we can do is keep humans in ours.
Every certificate, its issue date, and its current status are checkable by anyone, for free. A badge that can’t be independently verified isn’t worth displaying.
The Verification Standard has five fixed criteria. We don’t grade on a curve for larger accounts, and we don’t waive criteria for smaller ones.
The process starts with one video. From there, a person takes it from here — not an algorithm.
An independent verification organization recognizing businesses that keep people at the heart of their operations. Not affiliated with any government agency.
